Sure, sunglasses have always had a certain cool factor going back for generations, to the golden age of Hollywood. But, regular old prescription glasses for the longest time were always associated with older people. Why else would something as evasive as contact lenses have become so popular over the years. I still don’t understand the attraction of contacts. Why would anyone want to deal with the hassles of maintaining and cleaning those things every day. Not to mention the fact, that you have to stick your fingers in your eyes every morning. I think I’ll just stick with my ultra cool and hip eyeglasses.
Especially now a days, when everyone seems to be wearing some form of designer label glasses. Even those that don’t need them. There has been a trend of late, to wear glasses just because they look good. Those big old Buddy Holly glasses have become quite popular it seems. And, not just the black framed ones. But, all kinds of neon colors are available in those big chunky framed glasses. I remember growing up, when my dad had a pair of those. Who knew, that good old dad was such a trendsetter back in the day
